Maritime Italy is alive and well and playing a solid role in the world. Italy is a global economic power, home to rock solid industrial shipowners, lively brokers, first class shipbuilders and an expanding technological core which is delivering expertise globally.
This year Italy will become the south Europe hub for growing LNG imports, with the world’s first offshore gas terminals. And notwithstanding the Costa Concordia incident and fall out, it will deliver the world’s best cruise ships. Its shipowners will quietly continue to move goods cleanly and efficiently around the world, while building and strengthening links with growing shipping powers in Asia.
Mare Forum Italy is much more than about Italian shipping.
It is about the global shipping industry and all the factors which make up that complex industry. It is about Italy’s place in the global shipping complex and the influence of the global shipping complex on Italy and its maritime companies.
On MAY 14, Mare Forum will return to the lively city of Sorrento where the 8th Mare Forum Italy 2011 will create the opportunity for many of the leaders of the Italian and international shipping community to square up to Italian and global players in the shipping world.
Mare Forum’s Maritime Italy has become an annual focal point for Italy’s maritime players to meet and debate the future. Sorrento has become used to hosting the lively and vivid arguments, the social gatherings and the annual arrival of the cream of Italy’s maritime industry leaders which Mare Forum brings. Join them in May 14 for good news, good ideas, and good company.
Leading Italian and international shipowners, CEOs from shipping, trading and brokerage companies; key investors in shipping, bankers, consultants and entrepreneurs; classification societies, financial institutions, regulators and the media will gather at this prestigious conference where an exchange of views, visions and valuable information will make this forum another unforgettable and meaningful experience.
Geopolitics, world economy, trade and commodities outlook, shipping, shipping innovations, shipfinance and investments. Monday 14 May 2012.Hilton Sorrento Palace
