Tre uomini dell'equipaggio dormendo nella loro cuccetta hanno, purtroppo , trovato la morte quando la Costa Europa ha urtato la banchina presso la località egiziana di Sharm el-Sheikh ( raffica di vento di 50 nodi ?)
Nella foto è possibile vedere la Costa Europa sbandata volontariamente di 15 ° al fine di portare la falla al di sopra del piano di galleggiamento . Operazione ben realizzata a quanto è dato capire osservando la foto. Tre donne inglesi e un cittadino italiano hanno riportato piccole ferite. Evacuati ben 1400 passeggeri rapidamente e senza danni. Un vero libro di testo su come deve essere condotta un’evacuazione .
